SCAR - a home for high-end + mature PvE players
Hi guys,
Scions of Carver [SCAR] is continuing its recruiting drive. If you like what you see here and want to join us, apply on our forums at this URL: http://scionsofcarver.lefora.com/forum/
Instead of generically saying we want good players to kill bad guys in HM and that we are really good at it as most of these threads do, I figured I'd simply talk a little about what makes us special among PvE guilds.
Activity
We are in the 90 range for total members, and over 1/2 of those members have been on in the last 24 hours. At any given time when I'm online, such as right now, the guild leader is on, 6/11 officers are on, and 18 members are on. We always have enough pro players on to form runs and teams for various areas.
Skill
Meh so obviously PvE doesn't take TOO much skill to play. But we do pride ourselves on having players with a wide range of toons and knowledge of the game. We know both the fastest and also fun ways to clear areas - we can do FoW SCs but we will also do things like smiteball or 8 paragon FoW. Everyone we take is familiar with most of the game's elite areas, and our officers are all officers in part because they can lead any of those places. In the course of a typical day when I've got some play time, I might do Urgoz, FoW sc, UW sc, and a full slavers clear.
We are also proud members of the GoE/TAM alliance - this group is made of of guilds very similar to ours in terms of knowledge and skill, although not quite as active. But we are comfortable taking any ally in runs with us since those guilds maintain the same standards we do.
Friendliness etc
We also pride ourselves on taking time to involve each member with the rest of the guild. We use ventrilo for all our elite runs and also many SCAR people hang out on our vent even when they are just merching etc. We also are pretty good about helping people out. We obviously won't do things like repeatedly help someone with NM, but most of our guild still has some titles left to work on - though we do have quite a few GWAMM - and we are always happy to teach people the runs we do.
Hope this helps explain why SCAR might be a good choice for you. We do uphold high standards in our recruiting, but if this sounds like an appealing place to you, go apply online now!
Thanks,
Sacratus Ignis, SCAR officer
